Is the bread baked fresh, or is it shelf-stable grocery bread?

These items are baked in-house from traditional German bakery recipes and made without preservatives. That is why they taste like a European bakery loaf, and why pickup or careful shipping timing matters more than for dry pantry goods.

Can I pick up fresh pretzels and Bauernbrot in Huntington Beach?

Yes. In-store pickup at Old World Village is the best way to get bread and pretzels at peak freshness. Please place bakery pickup orders at least 24 hours in advance so we can bake and prepare your order.

Do you ship German bread and soft pretzels?

Some bakery items can ship, but fresh bread and soft pretzels are perishable and travel best with the right packing and timing. If you are far from Southern California, read the product notes and our shipping page, or choose a bread box built for gifting when available.
